There was a time when I didn’t fully appreciate the significants of Black History Month. But now older and wiser I see it as an opportunity to celebrate, reflect and learn from our past ancestor’s endeavors and achievements. Unfortunately, we too often are shielded from black history in education systems and Black History Month is a platform to re-engage people with their history and heritage.
Back for the 3rd year Africa on the Square in Trafalgar Square London is a celebration of art and culture. There will be a variety of activities, music, food, fashion shows, craft markets and much, much more. You can catch me in the family workshop and cultural organisation section, north terrace for a Medu Neter (hieroglyphics) printing workshop exploring ancient African history.
